What personal information we process

We will process your personal details which includes your name, address, post code, phone number, email address, details of proof of identity and ownership of goods and in some cases bank account and taxation details (for our partners).

We collect credit card information in order to process transactions using our third-party solution from Worldpay. We do not retain any customer credit card information.

We may collect mobile phone numbers for the purpose of verifying an individual, we do not use them for any other purpose.

We collect email address information at the point of registration and explain fully how we may use that in future to communicate with you on bidding, invoicing, payment and relevant marketing communications. You can opt out of these communications at any time.


Special Categories of Personal Data

Special categories of personal data include information about an individual's health and other categories of personal information which are closely protected.

We do not generally process such information unless you have voluntarily provided this to us.  For example, where you have advised us of a health issue, which could mean that you may be classed as a “vulnerable”.  We will process sensitive information where you have voluntarily provided this information to us and have agreed that we can use this information to deliver services to you.  Where possible we shall seek to minimise the collection and use of such special categories of personal data.

How we share your information

We will share your personal information with our accountants, IT processing partners, our auction platform provider, our US based web hosting company and our cloud service providers (Nexcess) who process your personal information on our behalf.

All main contact details, lot descriptions and images are held in our back-office system for ease of access, accessible to selected staff (password protected).

Our web platform securely holds data relating to customer email addresses, encrypted passwords, bidding history and billing and shipping addresses. These are all stored behind a secure socket layer certificate (SSL) and can only be accessed by individuals to view their own information and by selected staff administrators (password protected).

Certain details such as bank information and Bank account information are accessed only by key members of staff including payroll officer, accountant and partners. (Password protected)

Email addresses are also in our back-office system and our secure SendGrid email marketing accounts accessible to selected staff (password protected).

Taxation NI and pension details are in our back-office system which is only accessed by accounts staff and partners (password protected).

Whenever we or our service providers transfer your personal information outside of the EEA, we or they will impose the appropriate obligations on the recipients of that information to ensure that they are able to provide an adequate level of data protection.


Information Security

We invest appropriate resources to protect your personal information, from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no internet-based site can be 100% secure and we cannot be held responsible for unauthorised or unintended access that is beyond our control.

We will keep this Privacy Statement under review and make updates from time to time. Any minor changes to this Privacy Statement will be posted on this page and we will communicate any major changes to you.
